Acapulco’s Brilliant Uber-Modern Hotel Encanto

Overlooking the golden sands of Mexico’s Pacific coastline, Acapulco’s uber-modern Hotel Encanto, offers guests a luxury getaway like no other. Built in 2010, by Miguel Angel Aragonés architects, the resort takes advantage of its luscious natural surroundings through a free flowing design which incorporates lengths of glass walls that bring the panoramic vistas of beach, ocean and a nature preserve indoors. With just 44 guest rooms, 20 with private pools and 24 with private terraces, the resort maintains an intimate, exclusive feel. Ambient light highlighted by a spectrum of brilliant color plays up the architecture and ambiance of the hotel at every turn, day and night.

The hotel’s exterior facade is high white which works beautifully as a canvas for the ambient light and full color spectrum displays which can be found around every corner.

This pool shows the use of ambient light in vibrant hues even in the daytime.

With so few guest rooms, the hotel is able to offer over half a private terrace for enjoyment of the outdoors on one’s own terms.

The guest bathrooms boast luxurious stone on walls, floors and other surfaces. You can see yet another view to the outdoors reflected in the glass here.

A wall of sliding glass allows the scenic beauty and light to flow indoors.
