This is an example of just how stunning this kind of modeling work can be. Designers from the eastern Europe-based Viarde have created a sleek, modern design in this Smolniy Park apartment, without moving a single piece of furniture. Still, the results are highly realistic and representative of exactly the kind of calming, modern luxury that is popular today. From a comfortable, sunny living room to an enviable walk-in closet, Viarde has created a space that feels real and that is an accomplishment in itself.

The plush living room sofa contrasts with the otherwise clean lines of most of the apartment while still staying true to the monochromatic theme. It is evidence of the designers unwillingness to sacrifice all comfort in the name of style.

The main living area has a comfortable open floorplan, with furniture placement being the only real divisions. People can easily move from a spot in front of the television to the kitchen or dining area, making it ideal for entertaining and dinner parties.

A hallway is a design necessity, but this one is made more welcoming with the addition of mirrored walls and interesting line drawings. The hallway feels bigger from the reflections and the drawings add much-needed personality.

The bathroom is another area where style sometimes has to be compromised for practicality, but Viarde has made sure this room also melds with the overall themes of the apartment. From its dark grey walls to the candlelight that softens the otherwise industrial feel, it could be a pleasant retreat.

The element of fire ties together multiple spaces in this apartment, with the final focal point being this ultra-modern fireplace. Flames rise directly out of the recessed nook for a beautiful but also slightly dangerous finishing touch.
